Gain: Grid

Steel Grid Gains are used at junctions in wood pole construction to provide a good bearing surface and increase the allowable physical load. All Gains are 6 inches (152 mm) long the width varies with pole diameter.

For spar arm structures No. 60166 to No. 60193 grids are mounted in pairs back to back to develop the maximum shear load of the connecting bolt. Used with either .75 inch (19.1 mm) or .875 inch (22.2 mm) through bolts which must be ordered separately.

No. 60387 is used singly on plank arm or similar construction. The Grid has sharp teeth on both surfaces. 6 to 9 inch (152 -229 mm) diameter poles are accommodated on one side and 9 to 12 inch (229-305 mm) on the other.

A through bolt is required for mounting — order separately.
