Introduction

Slacan Industries Inc is Canada's largest designer and manufacturer of Pole Line Hardware, and designs and supplies Substation and Structural Steelwork for the Utility Market as well as forgings, hot and cold stamping and weldments for the OEM market serving the agricultural, mining and other industries.

OEM

The processes used to make Utility hardware provide us with the knowledge to help our OEM customers with their component design. We partner with OEM's in the agricultural, truck, mining, and recreation industries to deliver quality solutions that work.

Our core capabilities are steel forging and hot stamping, but we also provide a complete one-stop source for the various finishing processes needed to make the component.

Slacan has the following processes in house:
  • Steel forging - from approximately 1/2 lb up to 20 lbs. in carbon and alloy steels.
  • Stamping - hot and cold up to 500 tons
  • Machining - CNC mill and lathes
  • Drilling - 12 manual multi-spindle drills
  • Threading - cut and roll thread to 1-1/2"
  • Heat Treat - batch oil quench and temper
  • Welding - steel MIG process Canadian Welding Bureau certified
  • Magnetic Particle Inspection
  • Shotblast

We will also look after other processes such as Hot Dip Galvanizing, Electroplating and Painting to supply you with a finished part for your production line.
