Slacan Industries Inc is Canada's largest designer and manufacturer of Pole Line Hardware, and designs and supplies Substation and Structural Steelwork for the Utility Market as well as forgings, hot and cold stamping and weldments for the OEM market serving the agricultural, mining and other industries.

Substation and Structural

Slacan provides total, in-house capability to supply substation solutions while minimizing timelines and costs to you. Our personnel have 30 years experience in the design of substations and we use our 90 years of metalworking experience to manufacture them.

Slacan's lattice structure design uses standard punch patterns on components to minimize the design effort while maximizing the flexibility for equipment location. This reduces the cost and provides for future expansion or installation of additional equipment.

To minimize field labour while keeping freight costs low, Slacan factory assembles the lattice structures and factory welds the tubular steel equipment supports with bolted connections between main components. Upon request, columns and girders can be fully assembled so that erection costs are only to set the columns and attach the girders and accessories. Anchor bolts are fully or partially galvanized and are shipped assembled with nuts and washers.

Slacan manufactures steel crossarms for both distribution and transmission applications as well as davit arms and other structural steel components of the electrical system to your design or ours.
